"Sophie" Yarn
100% Romney yarn from our ewe, Sophie.
Fleece Lot 2
200 yards, Sport/DK, approximately 120g ~12wpi
Sophie was one of two ewes we bought to start our Romney flock and she was the matriarch of our flock. Unfortunately she passed away and this yarn is the last products we will have of her. She never came up for nose scratches and was very independent. Sophie was a fantastic mom and has raised numerous lambs for us. She was my first pick when we were looking for Romneys and it is still one of my best decisions. Her fleece is wonderful but does not have a classic Romney style. It has more of a drape than traditional Romney, which makes it great for shawls. And you have to love that beautiful grey color!
