Sophie is one of the matriarchs of our flock and is one of the original ewes bought from Iron Water Ranch. She is built like a tank and tends to be a bit shy and independent. Sophie is a fantastic mom and I have kept more of her ewe lambs than I probably should (Chunk is her daughter). Her fleece always presents as non-traditional Romney but consistently has a wonderful and soft feel. The color is beautiful steel grey with lovely depth. We are proud to offer Sophie’s fiber in pin-drafted roving for hand spinning.
